Village Capital Corporation invests in city life. We target development projects that have the potential to radically improve Cleveland’s neighborhoods, using our investment pool and our loan packaging products to bridge the gap between public dollars and bank financing: VCC Loan Products: Green City/Blue Lake Initiative The corporation has brought $41 million in 180 new real estate development projects to Cleveland since its inception in 1992, building 1,079,079 square feet of new commercial space and 4,417 units of housing. It leverages almost $18 dollars worth of private and public dollars for every dollar invested by Village Capital, on average. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Neighborhood Progress, Inc., Village Capital Corporation is funded by the Cleveland Foundation, the George Gund Foundation, Greater Cleveland Partnership, Charter One Bank, AmTrust Bank, Enterprise Community Partners, Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the United States Treasury. We welcome loan applications from non-profit and for-profit borrowers. The Village Capital Corporation’s Board of Trustees meets approximately every six weeks to make lending decisions.
